CNN showing live shot of cabin where Dormer is holed up billowing black smoke.

Saying a "tactical operation" was underway and (either/both?) smoke bombs/stun grenades (?) were used. MSNBC doesn't have the same type of live shot.

How could they be showing such a different scene? Is their helicopter (or their sister station's helicopter) circling the wrong cabin?

On edit: never mind (although it still makes MSNBC look not-so-good, I think). Thanks for the explanation, nadin.

CNN DOES call itself a news network, MSNBC called itself "the place for politics" -- so maybe they don't have the resources? But they are NBC, so who knows? I just always flip between the two when there's something breaking, and pretty much hunker in at MSNBC the rest of the time.

I remember watching Waco live on TV. This looks like that event (i.e. standoff that ends in flames).

I said I watched the Waco fire live on ABC. It was a standoff that ended in flames. I said that this event is like that one (a standoff that ended in flames that I watched live on TV).

Nonsense, indeed.
