My very UNpolitical Hubbie just got home from work

Got himself a glass of water, sat down on the couch and turned up the volume on the State of the Union Address.

Uhm...I know this might mean nothing to you but this is like backwards world to me. See, usually the hubby comes home from work, he gets himself a glass of water, then he sits down on the couch and he turns the news off.

So I asked him why he was turning on the speech (the first time in our five years together) and he said, "I was kind of curious. Now that Obama has won, I'm wondering if he's gonna do anything about anything that really matters to me. Gay rights. Education and climate change."

He's also hoping Obama kicks some ass.

I'm right there with him.

I could never convince them to vote. They said it didn't matter and was rigged. They registered to vote this election and voted. I don't know who they voted for but they did say they didn't like Romney. So are we entering another universe? Or is there hope that things can change?

I work with a nth generation lady from a wealthy republican family. She voted Obama and I'll bet her entire family rolled over in their graves.

I woke up to the state of the union, and have the privilege to listen to the president of the USA This early morning here in norway.. He is a great man to listen to, as he sound intelligent and Caring for the whole america. Off course the republicans looks they have been eating spurt grapes right before they was coming into the room...

God dag ja ..

The last president you had - was a nightmare - but the current one is Ok.. Maybe not what I hoped he was - but far better than anything the republicans can show up to match him... currently I suspect it is no one who can match President Obama at the republican party - the few who are in the forefront - are just nuts..
