...his body language throughout the whole ordeal showed someone not very comfortable in his own skin. You could sense he was very tense throughout...leading to either his throat going dry or a "frog" beginning to build up. The awkward movements are what caught my attention...it totally distracted from everything he said before and after. While Mucus is not ready for prime time...the folks at Poland Springs appreciate the plug...

"Tells" are little things you do, unconsciously that "tell other
players in the game something about how you are feeling with
respect to the hand you are holding.

You may twitch or bite your lip if you have a bad hand or if
you're bluffing. These are "tells".

The fact that a person who has to speak a lot as part of his job does not know a dozen ways to counter dry mouth long enough to get through a short speech is a 'tell' that the person is an idiot.

is that these clowns are being forced to say that they're against a whole range of positive proposals.

Against paying people a living wage.
Against equal pay for women
Against reducing violence against women

The next thing you know, republicans will be against puppies and kittens.

How do these people live with themselves?
