What is the best way to answer this

young voters question.......she lives up the street??

The President gives the State of the Union address. The Republican Party gives a rebuttal. And then the Tea Party gives yet another rebuttal? Isn't every member of the Tea Party a registered Republican? How do they get away with giving TWO rebuttals?

The National Dog Owners of America could do a rebuttal; it's the media's decision which one of these rebuttals they want to cover. And the Tea Party Rebuttal has a bit of a man bites dog flavor to it, because of the question you asked. Why don't they feel that Marco Rubio is representing their views?

It has evolved into a media circus...one of custom, not necessity.

All the constitution requires is an "occasional report to congress" about how things are going.

Media created what we have now and has selfishly elevated it into an "event".

A party worth its salt would rein in its members and if a "rebuttal" is required, it should come from ONE person (perhaps an elder statesman..if there are any left)..

Media has a vested interest in creating "excitement/controversy/drama", so anyone with a voice and an ego is offered a platform.
