David Gilmour is 100x the human that tha Nuge is, plus he has given the world some pretty incredible music that is far-reaching in it's influence on artists working in all sorts of different media. Nugent will never be even remotely as influential in the world of music or charity. Nugent's "music" has become a joke, given his admitted predeliction for little girls and rape. Songs like "Wang Dang sweet poontang" will forever define him as a child rapist and woman hater. The Nuge claims to be a Christian too! Gilmour is a lifetime, affirmed atheist, with deep concern for his fellow man and moral convictions that value life. Nugent behaves like a spoiled little boy that tortures animals and expects the world to give him everything. Some are saying nugent is hiding some sort of short-coming in his manhood that he is frightened to have revealed.
My user id comes from one of Pink Floyd's earlier incarnations with Syd Barrett, but I've always loved the guitar and melodies that gilmour brought to the Pink Floyd sound. Roger Waters has also been very free with charitable giving and trying to make a difference for all of mankind by supporting organizations that are attempting to make war a thing of the past; the berlin Wall show is only one example. Waters is an athiest as well.
Why is it that right wing "artists" almost never use thier money and prestige to help people? Right wing ideology seems to preclude being humane.
Nugent is a spineless, cowardly pedophile with a sexual fetish that features guns and pain mixed with force and death. And he has a children's camp for those days when he can't get the road crew to find him a 12 year old girl to satisfy his sweet tooth.
I believe in God and our continued existence after death. Nugent will be spending the rest of eternity answering for his evil. This brings me no limit of emotional comfort.
