Warmongering, sure, and becoming a violent nationalist who extols the virtues of American militarism after you ducked the draft is a lousy thing to do. The TV show sucked, most of his music is boring guitar wankery, and he's weirdly Republican despite being a poster child for rock n' roll sexual profligacy.

Avoiding conscription in the first place, especially into a pointless, bloody war against a foe which posed precisely zero threat to the American land, people, or political freedoms? I'd have done it too. As for the music, well, "Wang, Dang, Sweet Poontang" still makes me laugh.

Ted Nugent is a 4th rate human headed for Dante's Ninth Circle. Ted the child molester deserves some prison time for threatening the President. Methinks he'd be swishing down the tier in a wig and high heels once some real bad ass criminals get him in their ranks.

is total bullshit. I was just a couple of years too young for that war, but I knew a few guys who went and never came back. I also know someone who chose to live in Canada instead of being drafted. I'm not sure what I'd have done had I been drafted. If I'd have moved to Canada, or (as Ted did) find a more creative way to avoid the draft, I sure the hell wouldn't be 'hawking' the virtues of war. Ted is a despicable human being and doesn't deserve the two minutes of my time it's taken to complain about him.

He could have refused and gone to jail. Like Ali. Cowards just don't do that. As for conviction, he is a twice-admitted poacher. A great mouthpiece for the NRA
