Pelosi: Boehner Was ‘Projecting’ When He Called Obama Weak
http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/pelosi-boehner-was-projecting-when-he-called-obama

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) was "projecting" his own failures when he claimed that President Obama won't cut spending because he is too weak to stand up to the liberal wing of his party.

"I don’t understand that because he’s a gentleman, the speaker is," Pelosi said in an interview with CNN published Wednesday. "But that remark was -- I mean, it was almost as if he was projecting onto the president his lack of being able to pass any bill that created jobs since he became speaker."

CNN's Chris Cuomo clarified: "You think the speaker is projecting onto the president his own failure?"

"Exactly," Pelosi said. "Because he hasn't been able to deal with his own party. There isn't anything that he passed that we haven't' delivered the votes for him that has been job-creating."

That remark on Stockman was a zinger too.

Seems she's being a lot more direct (or shall I say pointed?) in her assessments recently... and I like it. Keep it up!

they project their failures on to the President.

And, the US corporate mediaWhores by and large let them get away with it because they're too damn lazy and busy pimping the plutocrats.

They are so twisted it just boggles my mind.

YAY for Nancy being blunt about it. I'm amazed they even had her on CNN.

has a point that I agree with. To be more specific, the problem is not with Liberal Democrats but moreso with the extremist Republican Party. The Democratic Party is not the Party trying to change their Brand. The Republican Party is out of step with the Public and needs a face lift. And even more to the point, the Democratic Party has not been called the Stupid Party.

In fear of being primaried by the Tea Party. You saw that again yesterday with Sen. Collins on the Hagel vote. Ted Cruz is the face of the Stupid Party.

The President won't cut spending, not because he is "weak,' but because the spending the republicans want to cut is in areas where it's desperately needed: Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, help for veterans, poor children, old people who are sick. Meanwhile, they refuse to cut spending on oil subsidies, closing corporate tax loopholes, pork barrel type defense contractors, and the ilk. Sadly, folks who only gloss over headlines will continue to perceive Democrats as tax-and-spend-happy hippies who feel entitled to a free ride.
