The 1% have come to claim total victory.

In the person of Mitt Romney, they are here to tell the 99% that it is over. They have won. You have lost.

Those that are marching and protesting in Oakland and other places are wasting their time. They are nothing more than a nuisance to the 1%. They will surround you. They will tear gas you. They will shoot you.

How bold are they? They are running a candidate for President that has robbed this nation of jobs and enriched himself with hundreds of millions of dollars in the process. He has stashed his ill-begotten gains in such places as Swiss bank accounts and the Cayman Islands, among other places. When he made his tax forms available, they showed a tax rate less than 14% on this income.

The 99% can march, protest, and set up tent cities but nothing will come of it unless they get to the polls and vote. In their anger and disgust, they cannot permit this final victory. They have to become political. Otherwise, they are useless.

ability to afford college, and no hope, you are going to have severe social unrest.

These people coming out of high school, the few coming out of college, and those coming out of the military have nothing to do. There are no jobs or economic opportunities for these young people. Just look at the unemployment numbers for the young. They are much higher than for the rest of the population. What do you expect. It is a recipe for social unrest and chaos.

There are thousands of examples of how a society that blocks economic advancement and upward mobility of their young adults is thrown into war, revolution and unrest. It is happening here in the US, right now as well as around the world.

It will get worse, because the voting machines are rigged and our politicians are only listening to the wealthy special interests. They have NO hope that the political system will address their problems.

What do you expect from the youth of the country? They have nothing left to lose.

23 years ago no one dared predict the collapse of the USSR. 30 years ago, the Berlin Wall was a permanent fixture, never to be changed.

The 1% suffers greatly, they just don't know it. The majority is waking up, and seeing GOP lies for what they are. Look at the subjects and topics the richest are discussing in Davos ( the growing economic inequality and its danger; why the middle class must grow; the danger of future unrest; etc) and you will see that they recognize the same danger that we do, simply from the other side. They are well aware that anymore inequality, and the whole system collapses and the world will see revolution.

The fact that the brightest rich in Davos see the problem does NOT that Koch and co. get the message. To the contrary, they are pushing their hired whores, McConnell, cantor, and others to maximize their gains even if it leads to collapse. That is what greed, money and blinders do to you. the question is whether those in Davos will get the attention of the US conservative ruling class in time. Personally, I think not. I think that the middle class and the poor will send a message of unmistakable anger this election, against the rabid right.

In stead of occupying the cities, the OWS should be occupying the GOP primary events and debates. They should be challenging the GOP supporters who are the real problem. They should be occupying the areas near the billionaires estates. Occupy areas where the 1% hide out.

OWS should be occupying the media outlets. They should be after Fox Noise and be in front of their studios and protesting their lies.
It is hard to get your message out if they are controlling and distorting it. Unless the hand of this truly conservative biased media is challenged directly, it is almost impossible to move people to your side.

The problem with the Democrats is that they are being pushed right by the money and intimidation. If people really voted for "progressive ideas" the Democrats might have more spine. When people like Feingold and Grayson lose and they are definitely very liberal it is hard to run on liberal ideas.
