I know I'll be able to look them back in the eyes with absolute confidence and say, 'I'm sorry. I tried my very hardest.'"

The surreptitiously recorded video of Sam Harrison's oral statement to the Joint Review Panel has been zipping around on social media for the past week, propelled by the likes of Naomi Klein, the David Suzuki Foundation and VSB Chair Patti Bacchus.

They're not quite as old as this young man but it should inspire them, too, to lead the way and set the example for the rest of us. What kids think does, and should, matter, and can make a difference. I'm ashamed an humbled by this young man's activism and courage.

In fact, many of the people who probably will say they stand with you will then turn around and invest in the stock market, thereby funding the efforts of those you stand against. Funny world.
You will be remembered a few days, then vanish into history as another lone, losing voice against capitalism without conscience.
