Tuxedo kitty found a new mom, a big Siberian husky

Mushu the kitty was born to a stray cat and later rescued by her human when she was only 8 weeks old. They had a dog named Luna who accepted Mushu as soon as she laid eye on the poor little tux. The love is reciprocal. Mushu chose Luna to be her surrogate mom and they have been inseparable ever since. Video of the two interacting:

Butch and Sundance. This video brought tears to my eyes. I grew up with a husky and 4 cats (all tabbys) and they were the best of friends.

similar circumstances, and about that size.

She's not that size any more, but she and the dog bonded right away. The dog shares her bed with the cat, and they play quite energetically all over the house. The cat grooms the dog. Not a husky, an aussie.

Dogs and cats can be great friends.

Orange tabby, dropped off at six weeks of age. Meowed at my head for a couple of nights until dh insisted that we find a better bed for him. So he went out with our Aussie (in an enclosed porch with dog door to inside).

When our Aussie was younger, not nearly blind and deaf, we enjoyed watching them wrestle. The cat always won. They still share a bed, but the Aussie can't chase the cat around the yard anymore.

This is my aussie's 2nd cat; our old kitty died of old age last spring. The dog is 10 now, and her energy amazes me. She still does everything she ever did; she only needs help jumping into the truck. She can't jump quite that high any more.

I'm glad they have eachother.

My bed always had afternoon sun on it through some french doors. My dog would be napping in the middle of it, with a cat tucked up sleeping next to his soft coat on either side.

In our house, we have an old cat Sugar and a young Shih-tzu Yuuko, who are also best buds. They eat each other's food, drink out of the same water dish and hang out together all the time.

Border Collie changes gears with whoever he plays with. If it is with his adopted sister (an Aussie-BC mix) he is very rough, but when he interacts with a puppy or a kitten or even a small dog he is so gentle.

The sister on the other hand has been terrorizing our cats since we got her (not hurting them just herding them to where she thinks they belong - the basement).

...they are notoriously cat predatory too. I have several Siberians and Siberian mixes and so far they are good pals but my vet tells me stories of folks coming home to find only a single cat foot as remains of kitty-kitteh.
