In the end, he knew (and this is speculation on my part, as any other theory is speculation on someone else's) what he did was NOT justifiable in ANY way. It speaks VOLUMES about what his intent was in the first place.
Had he crawled out on his belly minutes after he was surrounded, he could have YEARS, nay, DECADES to spout his allegations (which by the way, a THOUSAND other people might have been able to verify). He chose though, to go out by himself, making ALL HIS ALLEGATIONS about nothing but himself. DON'T tell me he couldn't have survived a surrender. There were news people ON-SCENE.
Anyone who read his "manifesto" understands that Christopher Dorner wasn't about righting the wrongs the LAPD has done, is doing, and WILL do in the future; His manifesto was about Christopher Dorner and no one else.
He could have surrendered. He chose not to. He took the Coward's Way Out, and he did that for one reason... If he were forced to answer for what he'd done, he had no reasonable answer.
There were reporters on scene at the moment the fire started. No more than 30 seconds after it was noted that there was a fire, a single gunshot was heard.
Murderin' Christopher had no interest in answering for what he'd done.
EVERY action Dorner took after killing Ms. Quan and her Fiance was a dead end created by HIMSELF. He fucked it ALL up... from trying to steal a boat and getting the dock rope wound up in the prop to torching his truck in Big Bear when he could have walked away from it and not have it discovered for DAYS.
He died at his own hand. How fitting. Coward...

(24,853 posts)That he chose my community to make what was to become his final stand sullied it in a way it's residents didn't deserve.
I'd have preferred that only a small number of people knew about what I consider my own personal paradise... Bear Valley.
Now people know about it all over the world, and for all the wrong reasons.
