Help me refute some wacky global warming denialism

From the shit-my-right-wing-fundy-sister-posts-on-Facebook-department:

http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/video/featured/prime-time/867432237001/overestimated-global-warming/2132917599001

My first impression is that they're basically taking the worst predictions from the earliest assessments, saying, "Gee we're not on fire or underwater yet! What a joke!", but I'm hoping someone else has seen more specific refutations of this crap.

This seems so crazy that I'm wondering how much is just outright lying, not distorting.

“I have always enjoyed my time at Crossroads with Michael Coren. He is fair, balanced, and intelligent, and I will return to Crossroads and his television show whenever he asks me.”

These are the words of Jack Layton. In fact, similar sentiments were written and signed on a photograph of Jack, that was placed on a wall at the Crossroads Centre in Burlington, Ont. He was, you see, a regular guest on the 3,000 episodes of The Michael Coren Show on the CTS network that is under the Crossroads umbrella.

I mention this because Crossroads is the Christian organization that has just been ridiculously condemned in the media, and accused of being “un-Canadian” by Jack’s successor, Thomas Mulcair.

The new NDP leader also absurdly stated that the group supported the views of the Ugandan government regarding the criminalization and possible execution of homosexuals.

Good Lord, if you knew the Crossroads people and culture you would weep at the injustice of it all. The reason for this witch-hunt is someone managed to find an obscure and insulting paragraph on a Crossroads website comparing homosexuality to pedophilia and bestiality. ...............

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2013/02/13/anti-gay-evangelical-group-gets-public-funding-for-work-in-uganda/
An Ontario-based evangelical group that describes homosexuality as a “perversion” has received funding from the government of Canada to complete a series of projects in Uganda, where homosexuality is illegal and may soon be punishable by death.

Crossroads Christian Communications received $544,813 in government funding to travel to Uganda and help dig wells, build latrines, and promote hygiene awareness through next year. But the group’s attitudes toward homosexuality are oddly similar to statements made by homophobic Ugandan legislators, especially with regards to the proposed “Kill the Gays” bill that would potentially allot the death penalty to LGBT Ugandans.

So she is reading alot of shit & the climate crap is just one I bet

Birtherism is about the only bit of right-wing nuttery she's managed to steer clear of.

I'm hoping to find some specifics on this particular crap, however, if anyone is familiar with these particular claims.

Here is a good web site: SkepticalScience.com
Getting Skeptical About Global Warming Skepicism
http://www.skepticalscience.com

Here is a page from a quick search that answers some of the charges in the video ... I'm sure you could find more at this site on CO2 predictions, et.

Observed sea levels are actually tracking at the upper range of the IPCC projections. When accelerating ice loss from Greenland and Antarctica are factored into sea level projections, the estimated sea level rise by 2100 is between 75cm to 2 metres.

Otherwise, it is a good site for refuting the arguments of the global warming deniers.

There is no such thing as climate change denial

http://www.skepticalscience.com/no-such-thing-as-climate-change-denial.html

In a sense, there is no such thing as climate change denial. No one denies that climate changes (in fact, the most common climate myth is the argument that past climate change is evidence that current global warming is also natural). Then what is being denied? Quite simply, the scientific consensus that humans are disrupting the climate. A more appropriate term would be “consensus denial”. ... (This is a good essay and worth the read.)

What does past climate change tell us about global warming?

SkepticalScience.com is a site explaining climate change science -- and we know who you are now -- a denier.

It's a projection. In order to believe AGW, you have to deny (natural) climate change. I love being called a denier, it tells a lot.

fruitless, useless activity, IMO.

You're not going to change their minds. Not at all.

OK, here's something to illustrate my point...

Mr Pipi knows a guy who is vehemently RW. The guy keeps sending stupid RW emails to him all the time.

A couple of weeks ago Mr P got a forwarded many times email claiming that Obama was responsible for some "country club" type prison in Ohio or wherever.

Coddling the criminals!! Oh noes!!!111

Mr P replied that said prison was not even IN the US. It was in Switzerland or wherever. Gave irrefutable proof.

His "friend" replied back that, yes, he already knew, but....and then gave some cock and bull horseshit story about why he was still passing the damned thing around.

They. Don't. Care.

So why bother, is my question...
