Alan Grayson's tweets re: Keystone XL

Tar sands oil is actually piped tax free b/c the IRS doesn't consider it "crude oil". #KeystoneXL http://democrats.naturalresources.house.gov/sites/democrats.naturalresources.house.gov/files/2012-07-31_IRS_Tarsands_Report_0.pdf

... the #KeystoneXL pipeline ends in a tax free Foreign Trade zone, where the oil will be refined for export. http://www.nrdc.org/energy/kxlsecurity.asp

The idea KXL will deliver energy independence isn't just a lie, it's a sad lie. #ForwardonClimate #KeystoneXL http://350.org/en/media/feb14-kxl

And don't miss the fact that the KOCH BROTHERS are behind the push for this pipeline because they have major interests/investments in Canadian tar sands and who own the damn giant Flint Hills Corpus Christi Refinery in Texas that will refine that crap, ostensibly because Hugo Chavez won't sell Venezuelan heavy crude to them:

And like so many other issues, the media largely won't report the damn facts on this issue either.

Koch brothers and Dashle are in cahoots to build a big refinery south of Sioux Falls. This smudge pot will effect all of North Eastern Iowa and all of Minnesota. Flint Hill Resources has several refineries in the Twin Cities and Duluth areas. These all run on Canuck Crude. Glad Grayson posted the Tax Free thingee, talk about a gift that keeps on giving,F---n Thieves.

When several hundred barrels leak out, they'll get the sales taxes from the cases of paper towels purchased.

When thousands of barrels leak out, they'll get the sales taxes from the bottles of water sold because the nearby towns can't drink the tap water anymore.

...so it's a win for them again. These bastards don't care who or what they hurt or destroy to make their profits. They gotta be stopped, along with the rest of their filthy fossil-fuel peddling brethren. Too bad Kochs and their filthy fossil-fuel peddling brethren though, are the ones who own and control our gov't and not us, or we'd be able to do something about this.

A major pipeline spill was minimized due to it happening in the winter. The snow contained the spill. They were operating the pipelines 20 years or more beyond their useful life with little or no maintenance. What could possibly go wrong?
