it isn't worth participating in. Come to think of it, why did you even post it?

The very people he said couldn't be bucked in Washington. Just ironic and worthy of thought. I've been ill and haven't spent a lot of time here in a while. Come to think of it, maybe that's why --- I'm out of touch as It's been said a million times probably. Sorry and have a good weekend.

they were going to leave Hagel alone as long as he didn't come near power. Just being a Senator from Nebraska--who cares? Just being on the President's Intelligence Advisory Board--meh. There's no purse strings there. The Pentagon? Biggest purse strings on the planet, practically--and interference in possible war gin-up. Lots of groups are screaming "Oh HELL no!!"

And outside influence within our government should NOT be tolerated. Just because those interests have friends that fund a lot of campaigns and can point to a horrible time in their past shouldn't be given veto power over who our President wants as a cabinet member. Not to metion we should be allowed to talk about it without being labeled.

that's against him, it has a vise grip on the GOP despite Iraq, and it encompasses several interests, all pretty much devoted to war or destabilization of the ME for various reasons. For example, I don't think John McCain and Goober Graham really fall into the fundie Christian pro-Israeli camp (Huckabee/Hagee types), or the Republican Jewish camp like Kristol etc.--they are squarely in the defense $$$ and war-for-glory camp. But still neocons.
