What is the message behind GE's new commercials? Their new theme "machines are smart and

good looking" and not a person in sight.

"Transforming the way we work" is the punch line, but you see no people. Robot analyzing an plane engine, a talking train but never any workers. Define transforming and no need for people.

What is your point GE?

That's the theme. People are stupid and ugly. Why employ them when you can use machines instead?

One would think there would be quite a few created between R&D, manufacture, oversight and maintenance.

Perhaps Obama is right, we shouldn't want low wage, low skill jobs anymore and should concentrate on jobs that move us up the food chain a little.
