It's never over 'til it's over with these guys.
Late last week Romney zoomed ahead of Newt into blowout territory in Florida, but the two latest polls show Romeny dropping off... again. And Newt surging... again.
Here are the last six Romney leads: Romney +15, +15, +14, +16, +7, +5
ON EDIT: Newt probably cannot win even if he took a slight lead in polls because Romney has at least a 10% lead among early voting, which is a big block of votes. But it's still funny to watch.

What depths has that party sunk to???

(2,322 posts)...I don't know that it's really sunk that much deeper. I mean, the GOP is like a bathysphere. It sinks way down, then way down again, then, just when you think it can't possibly find a way to go any lower, it sinks down again. It's in a perpetual state of "sinking" and no bottom in sight. So the question stops being "what depths has that party sunk to?" and becomes: "can it possibly sink any lower?" With the answer being an amazing "Yes!" each and every time.

People are having to think whether they actually want Romney rather than the other way around.
By not fully endorsing, yet suggesting voting for Newt, Palin is stretching her influence across multiple Primaries.
She is telling them, "You're not really voting for Newt as the Nominee, you're voting to vet Romney."
And it is working, just like it did in South Carolina.
Watch for Santorum to drop out and endorse Newt, much like Perry did. Giving Romney no time to react.
