Yoko Ono: Support common sense gun laws. Join me & Brady Campaign end gun violence

https://twitter.com/yokoono/status/305039288867897344

Join Us in Albany on Friday, March 1st for a Press Conference to Emphasize Broad Support for the NY SAFE Act.

The NY SAFE Act makes New York a leader in comprehensive state laws to prevent gun violence and save lives. But gun lobbyists want to repeal this landmark law.

While NRA leaders and lobbyists continue to protest and threaten repeal of the laws, polls consistently show that more than two-thirds of New Yorkers favor these common sense gun laws.

That's why it's so important to join us on March 1st.

The Brady Campaign, Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense In America, New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, and others will gather to demonstrate our support for the new laws.

SAVE THE DATE:

WHEN: Friday, March 1st - Starting at 12:00 p.m.

WHERE: State Capitol Building, Albany, NY

...in a country where half the population believes in creationism. I think an awful lot of folks will say that common sense is that gun laws don't effect criminals.

People think they know what common sense is. Perhaps we should stick with demonstrable facts as that may win enough people over for effective legislation.
