When I was in Yellowstone there were warnings not to take anything from the Park. If everyone who visits took home a rock in a few billion years there wouldn't be any rocks left. Of course this rule didn't apply to the rocks they sell to the tourists.

the rocks sold at Yellowstone aren't actually from Yellowstone. They are imported from China.
