They're definitely better than Sam's Club, better quality and selection. Prices are comparable, as well. The people who work there seem a whole lot happier than employees at Sam's which is very telling.

Costco is so much better than Walmart. I've bought like 1/2 the furniture in my room from there.

of their meats and fish. Prescription eyeglasses are definitely a bargain (if you can find a frame you like), and bulk packaging is great for big families and those who like to cook and freeze.

Shop local farmer's markets for seasonal stuff, and local businesses for whatever you can -- hardware, car care, gifts, independent bookstores, etc.

It does matter!

I am a member until April but if they don't carry what I need to buy I cannot afford the membership fee no matter how well they treat their employees.

Just sayin.
