OMG, I Just Clicked On A Link To World News Daily. Please Hold Me

I'm actually really a little shaken up.

I know that stuff is out there. DU'er post snippets from time to time. But I've never seen that much 'stuff' concentrated into one hideous place.

I just shake my head, think "how stupid that place is" and move on for the sake of family peace.

I must say that I had always thought she was a Dem too UNTIL President Obama got elected. Then the truth shined it's way through. She doesn't actually say racist crap but you can tell she feels that way. I use to really like her and think that she was really intelligent. No more. But I zip my lip for family peace but if she was openly racist I would speak up in a minute flat.

Really, World Net Daily is kind of like the Onion ... except the publishers are serious, but it is actually a kind of pantomime of the ultra-Christian, apocalyptic right-wing.

Taking a look at WND once in awhile is a stark reminder that there are people out there who are even more right-wing crazy than Limbard listeners, Hannity followers, Drudge sycophants, etc. It also is a clue as to why these nuts are their own worst enemy.

And, for me, I'm a big believer in understanding where your 'enemy' is coming from because it make it easier to defeat them.

I have to also admit that since you can now post comments on WND, I do take a perverse pleasure in tweaking the noses of the more nutty Christian right-wingers.

Just write anything about there being no god or that Jeebus was 'just a man' and you'll have plenty to laugh at for the rest of the day.

A few weeks ago I clicked on a seemingly legit link on another news site about a story that said Warren Buffett and a lot of other millionaires were dumping their stocks because a world markets panic was coming. Sounded plausible, until I saw who posted the story.

Sometimes you don't know you're into the crazy until you're knee deep in it. Give yourself time. You'll recover.

It's funny, I can tell when they are parroting them. They all have this new argument they think is so clever and can't be easily opposed.

Yet of course you can.

A few years back I had a RW hosebag boss who actually subscribed to the print edition; I didn't even know there was such a thing until I saw several issues littering a coffee table in the reception area. Imagine what visitors thought!
