The left-right and liberal-conservative concepts are outdated.

The divide in American politics runs along a different spectrum these days.

It's really now a dichotomy of governing responsibly versus doubling down on the stupid.

Often called the False Dilemma.

Politics is not a dichotomy and never has been, no matter that US politics is structured around a two party apparent dichotomy.

Politics is multifactorial.

Part of humankind's problem is this black and white thinking.
