Anyone that has ever used a chainsaw knows this. You have squeeze the trigger to engage the clutch.

Obviously, this is still a dangerous way to start the saw motor but the hilarity that is a man castrating himself is not about to happen. And isn't that a shame?

... gas trigger be half-depressed (where it will lock and hold) to start. The chain starts spinning when the saw starts.

I've not used every brand or model, but have yet to see one that works differently. If his saw starts, he can say goodbye to Woody and the twins.
