(14,591 posts)1. Is it just me or has Woodward been awfully quiet recently?
I noticed he stopped the TV circuit just about the time the pushback started and after Bernstein's criticisms of Woodward were printed.

The more he defended his lying, the worse he looked.

(57,936 posts)3. Woodward is soft. He is a has-been. He never really was much.
He has always cashed in on his connections and those of his friends, not on his brilliance or sleuthing. The game is up on him.
The Watergate exposes put fear into the souls of all politicians. Because they thought that anything Woodward said, not matter how absurd it sounded would be believed.
That is not working any more.
Everyone has his/her time. Time for Woodward to sit back and enjoy his past success. That time comes to everyone.
