But that would require some extraordinary leadership on the part of those who lean conservative and I cannot think of a single player out there today who could be up to the task. Frankly, all those conservatives have taken over our party and pushed the real democrats aside. Republicans used to stand for business and Democrats for labor. It was a good opposition but one that could lead to real compromise because basically both sides had the same goals, a good economy that benefitted all citizens. Today the businessmen who are our Democratic leadership today couldn't care less about labor other than how little they can pay them. The Republicans don't even care about business anymore. They just want more power and to own everything that isn't nailed down. They don't even feel they should pay for it but just take it by whatever means they can.
