Now Hear This - It Looks LIke Most Of Billionaires Are Near Or Past 80 -

The boomers and seniors were younger workers they used to get their billions. Now those same folk are retiring and will need money to sustain themselves in the old age. That costs a lot of money. So why not end Social Security and Medicare and help these former workers come to their end sooner. It will save them the money they got from underpaying all these workers who created the very wealth they enjoy. Timing is everything.

The Kochs, Petersons, Coors, Anschutz et al are on a mission. If they can stop paying taxes seniors will have no way to survive without money or health care. Because all they and the GOP have to do is wait, change the rules and senior eventually will no longer be a problem.

What is so weird is that almost all these guys are getting into their 80's and already have all the power they need.

3. It Might Seem Far Fetched But ---
Tue Mar 5, 2013, 11:46 PM

These people began to make their huge fortunes after Reagan took office. The present boomers were at the beginning of their careers when the job market began to wobble. The had 30 years to manipulate the market and the tax systems and undercut labor. It seems more than a coincidence that defined pension plans began to disappear to be replaced by 401K's that boomers invested in during their working years. And wages for many stayed pretty much the same.

Then we had the boom and bust in the stock market around 2000. Bush was installed and the economy continued to be plundered with consolidation and offshoring among other things.

Now the bill is coming due and boomers are retiring in great numbers only to find their stashes greatly diminished. Many have only Social Security and Medicare to take care of them. They have anemic 401k's now and their houses' value has tanked.

If one looks at history it is hard to believe that what has happened is just coincidence or the market. Even Europe was tanked and its workers are under pressure and their health systems are now under pressure for privatization. The crash was sure convenient and timely.

Sure what I am saying sounds unbelievable but the most successful conspiracies are the ones that are to far fetched to seem possible.

2. They will never have enough power. Power doesn't work that way.

They have power because they have never had enough of it and never will.

When they die, the money will spread to other family members who will carry on the power cycle... only multiplied.

5. Time to look at the estate tax.

Maybe they could flaunt their wealth while they are alive, but they can't take it with them.

Might as well get some of it back where it belongs.

I don't begrudge anyone wealth when they have honestly worked for it, but too many have manipulated the system for their wealth at the expense of the rest of us. THAT makes me angry.

Get rid of all the loopholes, tax the offshore money and put the death taxes back where they belong. That should help take care of the debt.

6. The Rape Of The Country Financially And Socially Started On Steroids In 1980.
Wed Mar 6, 2013, 12:13 AM
Mar 2013

Few people have covered and followed events like I have since 1980. I have read thousands of articles, editorials, and watched hundreds of special. I understand a lot about the history of plundering of this country since Reagan. The present GOP actions are the end game of a master plan that I thought the country would recognize but hasn't.

In fact the very beginnings of all of this mayhem began right after WWII and the GOP confrontation with Truman. But the plunder really began with Reagan in 1980. As it turns out Carter was right about everything. HE WAS SET UP.

Reagan was the true Manchurian candidate meant to sell out the country to the rich. Koch's father was behind it. And the Coors family was very involved as well. And there were other secret partners who began to scheme to change the landscape of this country and turn the economy and tax system to their advantage.

The end game is the end of the middle class. The GOP is still well positioned to put an end to democracy in the US if one really thinks and reflects about recent history. Clinton and Obama have pretty much stood in the way from the completion of their agenda which would have happened by 2000. The Bush appointment would have happened even if Gore had actually and clearly won without the mayhem on Florida.

I understand the entire history of the GOP treason. They are not done. They have aided and abetted the Chinese and will continue to do so. The GOP is near the end of the biggest scam in American history.

The billionaires and all their foundations, mouthpieces and organizations are the henchmen as we all know. The last election is merely a small setback in their plans.

7. Don't forget the influence of Milton Friedman and the rise of the crackpot Chicago School

THAT is even more important. That influence is bipartisan.

What you are forgetting is neoliberalism has infiltrated the Democratic Party to make it an extension of the GOP.

8. What You Said In Your Post Was All A Part Of The Scheme As Well
Wed Mar 6, 2013, 12:47 AM

The infiltrators of the Dems were part of it as well. They were not recognizable at first. And neoliberalism is just a catch phrase as far as I am concerned it is the same policy with a different label. So you are correct about that.

The problem is that neoliberal is a deceit or Trojan horse. I see no difference in neoliberalism than ultra conservatism. And that is why the Dems seem so weak. There are a bunch of moles in their party.

I never thought that things would go so far. Everything now is really convoluted. And the future is uncertain.

9. Well, we've seen that the "people" can speak up, (aka "rise up" thru social media)
Wed Mar 6, 2013, 01:44 AM
Mar 2013

and fight back with facts and demand the GOP "plan" be disrupted even further. The public has been so busy keeping their heads above water, they aren't informed like those in groups like these. I see it every day in my family and friends.

What scares me more than anything is how dumbed down society has become. Most working people are sheeple and don't even know it. They are simply too busy to pay attention. Even if they did stay abreast of what is going on, they don't feel they have any voice or power.

Scary as hell, for sure.

There's an old joke about a guy who was allowed to take one suitcase with him to Heaven. So he converted all of his cash into gold bricks. When he got to the gates, St. Peter opened the suitcase and said, "You brought paving stones?"
