Meanwhile the rest of us get screwn as the squeeze gets put on more & more

for the economy. Big biz may still sit on cash, but at least some won't once they are sure the economy is improving.

while i'm happy my investments are doing well, it's revealing how out of touch wall street is with 'america'.

the people are scrambling while wall street is drinking champangne....

has little incentive to care. A company's stock goes up when they announce layoffs and reorgs.

What's the real travesty of it all is that with the advent of instant business news, companies have
a microscope on them. Increased pressure to maintain earnings growth. And, the way
they maintain continual income growth income is to cut back on hiring (people do more), salary increases,
and benefits. And, with such a huge labor pool - there's no incentive for them to improve benefits.
