...and you still don't care what the right-wing gun culture has to say against taking action to stop the horrible epidemic of violence in this country.

(11,417 posts)I would not call it progressive or conservative. This is not a right vs left issue to me.

(11,464 posts)and with that if it happens, I don't care about what happens with the guns that would not work anymore.
There is NO constitutional right to a bullet.
I want a new court, a new ruling, a reinterpretation and bullet free streets
with zero tolerance to any private person bringing a bullet into the streets.

(29,047 posts)I am uncertain about some of them, for example: Give law enforcement additional tools to prevent and prosecute gun crime.
I read the description, and I thought it was very vague. From your link:

(37,648 posts)I'm in favor of gun control. "Gun control" means different things to different people.
Recursion
(56,582 posts)... I'm not interested in regulating how guns can look, and that's what our party keeps pushing forward.
I do like most of the President's proposals. If someone proposed a semi-auto ban (rather than regulating what semi-autos can look like), I'd lean towards it.

(53,035 posts)How could anything like that possibly get through congress?
Recursion
(56,582 posts)Having popular legislation crash and burn in the House is one way to change voters' minds.

(53,035 posts)Why do you say you would support a ban on all semi-automatics when such a thing is impossible?
Recursion
(56,582 posts)If I could simply decide what the laws were, I'd be open to the idea of banning semi-autos, or semi-autos with detachable magazines.

(53,035 posts)for good or bad. The line on the kinds of weapons people own needs to be drawn somewhere, and many seem to think there should be no line at all. Sure going back to muskets and revolvers might be ideal, but it's never going to happen in a million years. We might, however, be able to do something about weapons that fire 30 to 100 rounds in a minute.
