judges with their own ideological slant is disappointing.
Hopefully he will discuss the empirical evidence showing improvements for the people. Additionally ,up to now they have all failed to point out the corporate hegemony over the US media

Chavez didn't try to silence opposition by shutting down certain media outlets. He shut down ones that called for his overthrow, like FOX on steroids. At least that is what I've read on the topic.

Hayes did cover some of the issues mentioned above - this was the best discussion on Chavez and Latin America that I've watched from the US - ever. That said I've watched better discussions on BBC and on local television.
