Singer Taylor Swift fulfilled a dream Saturday when she made a special visit to Omaha's Children's Hospital & Medical Center.
Swift came calling on Lauren Hacker, 10, a cancer patient. The visit, which had been lobbied for on social media, was arranged by Lauren's family and representatives of the singer.
Lauren, a fifth-grader at St. Margaret Mary School, is the daughter of LesLee and Phil Hacker.
Swift will bring her brand of country-pop to the CenturyLink Center on Wednesday to kick off her North American tour.
