My (military) veteran clients unanimously blame Obama for Sequester loss of ed benefits.

I did not reply to them, or attempt to point out that the GOP House - that actually holds the purse strings and voted for the sequester - was responsible.

They were quite upset.

If the WH hoped they would blame Boner and the GOP House, my experience indicates they will be disappointed.

Republican, so of course the bitching will be directed at Obama. Nobody is getting kicked out of classes, they just have to arrange their own funding for future semesters until TA is restored for all the services, which will probably be soon. Most people aren't even aware that the military branches help active duty pay for school while they serve--but the whole point of the cuts is that they are across the board with little flexibility, and readiness comes first. Airshows and tuition assistance and commissary time come last.
