Caught a little bit of the Pigboy while I was running some errands. He was talking about the exchange between Senator Feinstein and T-Bagger Cruz. After his normal bullshit about how "liberals see the Constitution as freedom limiting" and other such crap, he said; that's what the 2ND Amendment is for...it's to protect the citizens from Senator Feinstein deciding what books they can read..it's to protect from Mayor Doomberg (sic) telling us what we can eat and drink".
I was fucking floored! I don't care how hard Limbaugh tries to backtrack, or polish that turd, he's basically telling the crazed mouthbreathers in his audience that shooting fairly and democratically elected politicians you disagree with is how you protect your freedoms.

(61,695 posts)That we have the right to guns to get rid of or threaten pesky politicians? I think he made himself clear on that one. I'm sure he'd balk if some had said the 2nd Amendment was about silencing douchebag, lying, radio pie-holes.
Wounded Bear
(58,682 posts)Secondly, he would just claim that the guns were to protect people from the laws they pass, etc....
He's always quite careful to not actually incriminate himself when he spouts such nonsense.

(23,500 posts)He might be staying within the letter of the law, but there is no mistaking his meaning.
This is more stochastic terrorism, like what led to Gabrielle Giffords getting shot.

(1,315 posts)Considering many people stated how Loughner had a total distaste for political radio, I doubt she would apply to the situations you are describing.
Both sides have tried to foist Jared off on the other, he was a deeply troubled and sick individual, he worked on his own little scheme...

(65,616 posts)I KNEW he was stupid enough to say something like that...so glad he finally did. Rush calling for Tea Baggers to take up arms against the government, priceless.

(16,191 posts)I suspect that's what he was really saying above. He's not quite dumb enough to advocate shooting politicians directly, but he has no problem advocating for the shooting of police officers who may be sent to enforce those politicians laws. When he talks about "protecting yourself from the government", that's usually what he's talking about.

(65,616 posts)I hope he really did fuck up and say something that completely stupid.

(11,464 posts)Hannity went on and on calling Daschle the devil and badmouthing Tom and his wife.
Then Daschle almost died receving a package of white stuff in the mail.
Someone should have connected those dots.
SQUEE
(1,315 posts)Hannity had just been syndicated 5 weeks before...
An Daschle himself was not even exposed.
So, um what dots? Mr Great American is douche, but really?
All this info was gleaned from wiki, in less than 3 minutes....So maybe fact check before you want to connect any dots.

(11,464 posts)Do you have some problem with super Liberal Tom Daschle?
from wiki
In January 1997, WABC put Hannity on the air full-time, giving him the late night time slot. WABC then moved Hannity to the same drive time slot he had filled temporarily a little more than a year earlier. Hannity has been on WABC's afternoon time slot since January 1998
so your obviously wrong again.
it took me all of no seconds to know that, being that i am in NYC
and proud to say I have NEVER listened to his tv show
and actually at the time listened to Gary Byrd and Mark Riley on WLIB from the 1980s to when left the station
dairydog91
(951 posts)Yup, that sounds like a Hannity listener to me. Open and shut case.

(1,315 posts)But you said words spoken in 2003 led to an anthrax attack in 2001, and as for nearly died... he was never directly exposed... so yeah. Not so obviously wrong...
Did you have a problem with Hannity one when he was singing the praises of "meek" Mayor Mike?

(12,530 posts)I will ALWAYS be convinced that the anthrax mailings originated with Cheney for purposes of terror. I'm not exaggerating even a little when I say that.

I wish our society didn't tolerate this, it is beyond free speech, it's dangerous and threatening.
