(Watch) 12-year-old Writes Letter To Supreme Court Justice In Support Of His Two Dads

12-year-old Daniel Martinez-Leffew, who lives in northern California with his two adoptive dads Bryan and Jay and younger sister, says he was inspired to write the letter after learning that Supreme Court Justice Roberts has two adopted children of his own.

Daniel urges Roberts to strike down Prop 8 and embrace gay marriage in a poignant and emotional letter. He explains that he was considered “unadoptable” as a child because he has a genetic disorder, Goldenhar Syndrome. “Lucky for me, that’s when my two dads came along,” said Daniel in his letter, “I know you have a tough decision to make with the gay marriage issue, but my family is just as valuable and worthwhile as any other.“

In a video posted to YouTube, Daniel is joined by his Dad Bryan who explains:

The Supreme Court will take up the case of whether to overturn Proposition 8, California’s voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage, on March 26 and a day later, the Defense of Marriage Act (or DOMA) will come before the Supreme
