Police: Reality TV Leads To Spike In Storage Unit Crimes

WORTHINGTON, Ohio - Shows like “Storage Wars” involve people betting on finding a hidden fortune inside foreclosed storage lockers. Worthington police said that curiosity is spreading to criminals.

Dozens of storage units in Worthington were ripped off by burglars.

Columbus resident David Disheroon said he discovered he was one of the victims, when he stopped by his locker at the Mini Storage Depot on state Route 161.

“As I just walked in the hallway, I noticed that most of the doors were ajar and the little tang on the latch was bent 90 degrees,” said Disheroon.

The storage places many owned by sleaze balls show lockers with crap that's worth much more than your normal person's pile of dreck

That after the auction is done all money above rent owed and the auctioneer fees paid, all else goes back to the renter. Great law.
