"Making a gaffe" in the Republican Lexicon

is synonymous with "accidentally telling the truth."

The latest case in point--Anybody think Romney wasn't telling the truth when he said, "I don't care about the very poor?"

Or, to resurrect the recent past, that he doesn't like being able to fire people?
