A school-friend of my late husband Rob's gave a concert this weekend and dedicated this song to him

Missy Raines is one of the kindest souls I've ever met. After some years, she and Rob rekindled their friendship and corresponded fairly often. I credit her with being one of the handful of people who kept him alive, encouraging him and sending him love.

If you've not heard Missy Raines and the New Hip, treat yourself. I went to a concert on Saturday evening at Ashland Coffee and Tea in Virginia just to see and visit with her. I love her music -- newgrass, zydeco, blues, jazz all sort-of rolled into one.

The gig started late so I had to leave halfway through. It's a 3-1/2 hour drive from here to Ashland and my poor furkids were cooped up whilst I was gone. Immediately after the break, she dedicated this song to her friend, my husband.

If you're on Facebook, you can watch this short I took of them. I apologize for the quality; I took it with my tablet.
