I see a lot of bewilderment over the flurry of anti-women bills over the last few years. People wondering how can this be happening to us? It's simple we, people who support a women's right to choose, are letting it happen. The numbers don't lie, when the vast majority of pro-choice voters are not even willing to consider it an issue important enough consider at the ballot box, this is what you get. They know pro-choice voters will not hold them accountable for their vote and that anti-choice voters will.
One doesn't have to be the most brilliant political scientist to see how these numbers could also have a broader impact. Do you think those that say it should be illegal in all cases; the 73% who say it's important to their vote, call their politicians, donate money to anti-choice orgs? We can site the polls that show the majority of people in the country are pro-choice all day, but until that is reflected in the voting booth we're just twisting the wind.

(4,533 posts),but some women who would consider themselves pro-choice. When the majority of people are pro-choice, but less than 1/3 of them think it's very important to their vote, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to do the math.
