The eGo-C and eGo-T batteries that I use are threaded for 510 cartridges as well as larger tanks. An Njoy cartridge for example wouldn't fit my battery. There are adapters you can get for a couple bucks that will allow some models to hook up.

Also, unless you are a very very light user, those prefilled cartridges are going to get expensive really quickly. I'd recommend you find a refillable and a liquid flavor that you like, if you are looking to move permanently from analogs to ecigs.

The 5-pack of cartos for those cost about 12 or 13 bucks here. One carto would last me about a day. So $2.60 a day vs. about $5.50 a day for a pack- there was a savings of a little over half there. Then I discovered the cartos from Noble Smokes, which I fell in love with- that little habit was costing me $4 and change a day, because those were $3.99 apiece.

So I invested in the better battery and the refillable tank. The refill liquid I use now costs $21 with shipping and lasts me about 3 weeks at a cost of about $1 a day. There's going to be a drop in what you pay, it's just a matter of how much you want to save. There's also a much wider range of flavors available with the refill liquid than with the prefilled, which was a big deal to me because the cheap cartos tasted horrible. But I am picky and you might not be, so that may not be so much of a factor for you.

cartridges I fill myself and I'm very happy with it. I like Banana, Mango, Peach and Mint Liberty Liquid. I'm slowly moving down in nicotine content and feel good. I don't have any cravings and can take my e-cig with me where ever I go...it's much better than smoking.

I get them both from here:

http://www.smoktek.com/Vision-Spinner-Variable-Voltage-1300mAh-eGo-Battery_p_449.html

The customer service at Smoktek is superb. I buy all my stuff from them and I have never had a problem.
I am a heavy vaper and the 1300 spinner battery lasts me all day before I have to recharge it.

I started on the ecig 18-months ago, and my first set up was a VoltX2 auto battery with a X2 clearomizer. These are super easy to figure out how to use and fill.

Be sure to check out the e-cigarette forum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/
It is full of valuable information and you can probably find the answer to any question you have there.

Right now my favorite liquid is Mrs. T's Bakery Almond Toffee Crunch Coffee. Their liquids are wonderful.

Just keep smoking and enjoy them, period! When you are really ready in the heart to quit you will look at the pack one day and say, "it is time" then drop them in the garbage and never look back. In the meantime just keep smoking.

Many people have stopped smoking instantly upon trying their very first e-cig. I'm one of them.

And why on earth would you try to discourage someone from quitting smoking by whatever method? You'd rather that they continue to smoke, knowing how dangerous it is, rather than have them take some nicotine in a much less harmful way? Do you really hate smokers THAT much?

You will fall off several times before quitting sticks. I know. I quit and resumed smoking many times until I no longer craved them. I've been tobacco free now for twenty-five years.

I tried some of the Blu disposables, and a couple of others and never felt like I was getting what I wanted out of it.

We had several vape stores open up in my city so one day I decided to take the plunge. It cost me $80 for the starter kit but the juice is inexpensive and as others have said, you can gradually lower the nicotine content. It's been a good alternative to smoking regular cigarettes. My lungs feel much clearer and my taste is coming back after about 2 months.

I started with Greensmoke, but they did not have refillable, and it seemed a waste to throw out cartomizers before they were burnt out. So I started buying e-liquid from Halo, and found a way to refill greensmoke cartomizers with Halo liquid. But then I did a comparison on pricing for the batteries and cartomizers, and found Halo to cost less.

And I love that they are made in the US and not in China where god knows what goes into their e-liquids.

I'm a big fan. My favorite flavor is Malibu.

I second the suggestion of signing up at www.e-cigarette-forum.com for more information. It's a great resource for discounts too. There's also a PIF (pay it forward) thread where people can give away what they are no longer using. You will also find others in your area that more than likely organize meets and you can get information from them about local suppliers..

The industry of e-cigs has exploded into an overwhelming number of products such that there can't be a single favorite anything anymore. It's all about personalizing your experience to get whatever it is you need to stay off cigarettes. If using cig-look-a-likes works for you - go for it. I tried them and they didn't work for me. That probably delayed my quitting efforts by a couple of years because I didn't know there was anything else out there.

The fact is that smoking has become so unpopular that anyone who can "just quit" has already done so. Some people can't for a variety of reasons. Nicotine is not the most harmful or most addictive ingredient in cigarettes. The over 10,000 other chemicals (which is not public information) is. Nicotine alone is compared to caffeine by the CDC. The amount of nicotine delivered by an e-cig is equal to a nicotine patch, lozenge, or inhaler. It's poorly absorbed in the mouth and doesn't reach the lungs. The vapor is the same stuff used in foods, fog machines at concerts, in i.v.'s and asthma / copd inhalers.

It is helpful to get support from others who also have trouble "staying quit" and it's not the end of the world to have a cigarette once in awhile. The all or nothing thinking doesn't work for everyone and it's time to change thinking around to what does work. The last 2 years have seen the largest reduction in cigarette sales in history. That should be proof and a reason to celebrate. There could be more e-cigs sold than cigarettes in less than a decade.

Good luck!
