Some kind DUer recommended changing the settings to remove a Group ...just from one's visibility..

Be glad you're not in other forums where they not only criticize your opinion, they criticize you for having that opinion!

I like to come here to rest from all the vitriol and lies that are being repeated in other forums! Enough to drive a person to drink.

But if you need a break, I think everyone understands that, too.

The campaign times are marred for me with bloody accusations of "you're insulting my candidate" type garbage

The dungeons help, but it's still awful

and just ignore them. It's the bad side of free speech but free speech it is.

When discussion of issues all but disappears in the effort to campaign 24-7 and silence dissent.

50+ million gun owners in the US and some folks like to post about the tiny few who use them in a negative way.


When all you hear is bad, when all you seek is the negative about something, that is all you will know and it will color your perceptions.

It is about how we look at a minority we might not like and use whatever means we can to keep a hold of our hatred of them by only focusing on the few to broad brush the many.

Does not matter which group - christians, blacks, muslims, people on welfare, gun owners. Some folks like to teach fear to others based on what a small tiny fraction of a group does.

That and the numerous trolls make the place largely unenjoyable.
