Ashley Judd will NOT be running for the U.S. Senate in 2014.
The actress-activist announced her decision on Twitter on Wednesday, following weeks of serious speculation that shed challenge Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in Kentucky.
After serious and thorough contemplation, I realize that my responsibilities & energy at this time need to be focused on my family, explained Judd.
She continued, Regretfully, I am currently unable to consider a campaign for the Senate.

I think they're wrong. Sure it wouldn't be easy for her but she might have a chance because of the novelty against stodgy old Mitch McConnell.
Putting up any standard Dem candidate is a waste of time and money.
McTurtle has it in the bag -- again.
