N.Korea Leader Orders Rocket Units On Standby To Hit U.S. Bases - KCNA

SEOUL - North Korean leader Kim Jong-un orders the country's rocket units to be on standby to attack U.S. military bases in South Korea and the Pacific in an emergency meeting on Friday after the United States flew Stealth bombers in a show of force to Pyongyang.

The North's official KCNA news agency said Kim signed off on the orders at a midnight meeting of top generals and "judged the time has come to settle accounts with the U.S. imperialists in view of the prevailing situation."

"He finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets of the KPA, ordering them to be standby for fire so that they may strike any time the U.S. mainland, its military bases in the operational theaters in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea." — Reuters

I'm really surprised China hasn't done some imperialism lite and taken that clown show out and put in someone more reasonable.

combat readiness, or words to that effect. By the way, why would any country tell you what they were doing in preparation to attack you?

with his ancestors.

I've seen strange things from national leaders around the world, but this is pretty much the strangest thing I remember.

"Bring it on! We'll put a warhead on his forehead."

Kim Youg'un needs to shut his mouthhole already. They can't launch a firkin hot-air balloon from what I can tell.

Load a Reaper drone with a tactical nuke (low yield). If Kim-Jong-Un launches ANY type of attack on U.S. interests, deploy said Reaper and obliterate a little chunk of uninhabited land. Let him know that the next Reaper will target Pyongyang.

If we're going to spend this much of our GDP on weapon systems, we should get some kind of return. Kim Jong-Il was bad enough, but he was just a saber-rattler and he was mature enough to understand that he had no interest in pushing things farther than the random crazy threat. His kid has all of the toys and military programs that he inherited without the sense of how the game is played. Kim Jong-Un might actually attack somebody.

Nukes are understood to simply be a bargaining chip among nations that play by the rules. For those that don't understand and choose to act out, a very simple low-yield lesson would be an (I believe) appropriate statement. As an added bonus, other leaders of marginal sanity might think twice before they threaten their perceived adversaries.

...or, we just send Dennis Rodman back to talk to him...
