North Korea Says 'We Are At War With South'

North Korea says it has entered a "state of war" with South Korea and will deal with "all matters" accordingly.

"As of now, inter-Korea relations enter a state of war and all matters between the two Koreas will be handled according to wartime protocol," the North said in a statement broadcast by the official Korean Central News Agency.

"The long-standing situation of the Korean peninsula being neither at peace nor at war is finally over."

The statement also warned that any military provocation near the North-South land or sea border would result "in a full-scale conflict and a nuclear war".

It was a T-shirt that came out about 1976 with a mouse on the ground flipping off the eagle that was about to snag it for a snack.

throw their Army back over the DMZ, the shock of losing that battle to the National Psyche over there (after all the brainwashing) would route the sitting Government from power in 6 months. Someone said to me ('cause he's not really a News guy) "well what about China?"

China isn't going to do a damn thing to upset the applecart they have worked so hard to set up with the US. If they do, the market for goods they produce will dry up in a month, 30 days later half the country will be out of work, 30 days after THAT they will be in the streets pissed off that the Bosses in Bejing couldn't hold up their end of the Tiennmen Square deal (you let us keep power, we'll let you all get a bigger piece of the Pie) and 30 days after that China would have a new Governmnet.

The North is flipping off that Eagle because it knows The Eagle isn't really BOTHERED by anything it threatens to do, because that bird knows full-well IT'S A FUCKING EAGLE, and if that mouse so much as breathes in the wrong direction, dinner will be served in VERY short order.

THAT I would understand.
They are acting like the parents that move to secluded mountain home and go crazy after years of isolation.
They just need to open that country up and freaking breathe.
Become one Korea.
All this silliness would end.

would make our adventure in Iraq look like we did a bang-up kind of job.

You will almost have to wait for damn-near everyone in the North to die of old age before you would have anything approaching a functioning re-unifiied State, so brainwashed are they that Lil Kim is a God Incarnate.

It would take 15-25 years of Education, Infrastructure and "SafteyNet" spending just to APPROACH unified Nationalism over there. Congress does not possess the WILL for such things, even if a particular administration's State Depart were adept enough to lay the groundwork for a long-term, international aid plan.
