IMO, N Korea is following a "mouse that roared" script. Declare war, do a little damage,

surrender and expect the US to do a Japan like recovery.

All this to try and avoid unification.

IN MY OPINION: The only good scenario here is that it is possible they are ramping all this up with the goal of selling the people on the idea that their new Dear Leader has cowed America into submission once again.
