The following letter to the editor (from an anonymous writer) appeared in our local paper:
"I drove by ------ Elementary today and was scandalized that the teachers had their little people out hunting Easter eggs. Indoctrinating our children in pagan idolatry is anti-God. To have small children take part in fertility rituals is obscene."
I was so relieved to know that Mr. or Ms. Concerned felt so appalled by children gathering Easter eggs that they felt compelled to share their indignation. We have so many hungry, homeless and abused children in this country I'm gratified to see this person has their priorities in order. What, indeed, would Jesus say?

(1,044 posts)but there are too many examples of the far-right sexualizing everything. The recent One Million Moms protest against the Geico commercial with a cartoon date with a woman is an example. What kind of sick person sees that commercial and thinks "BESTIALITY!"?
You can't discuss marriage equality with them without them immediately bringing up anal sex.
They view the world in a twisted way. I wouldn't be surprised if the letter were genuine.
