Greg Palast UNCOVERS: How Bush won the war in Iraq - really! (Worse Than "Blood for Oil" Far Worse)

How Bush won the war in Iraq - really!
By Greg Palast for Vice Magazine

If you thought it was "Blood for Oil"--you're wrong. It was far, far worse.

Because it was marked "confidential" on each page, the oil industry stooge couldn't believe the US State Department had given me a complete copy of their secret plans for the oil fields of Iraq. Actually, the State Department had done no such thing. But my line of bullshit had been so well-practiced and the set-up on my mark had so thoroughly established my fake identity, that I almost began to believe my own lies.I closed in. I said I wanted to make sure she and I were working from the same State Department draft. Could she tell me the official name, date and number of pages? She did.

Conspiracy nuts think George Bush, from the moment he took office, had a secret plan to control Iraq’s oil. They’re wrong. Bush had TWO plans. Here they are. One crafted by neo-conservatives at the Pentagon, another by the State Department and Big Oil. This is the history of the secret cold war between these two power elites that drove the hot war on the Tigreso.

This pic needs to go viral - everything we have known and worse in one astounding jpg.
...........................

But the truth in the confidential Options for Iraqi Oil Industry was worse than "Blood for Oil". Much, much worse.

The key was in the flow chart on page 15, Iraq Oil Regime Timeline & Scenario Analysis:

"...A single state-owned company ...enhances a government's relationship with OPEC."

Let me explain why these words rocked my casbah.............

Other currencies, threatening the dollar as the reserve currency, had anything to do with it?

to a legitimate reason there was, but maybe Cheney and the Boys figured the idea would not sell to the American public as well as lies.

He had over 2 million shares of Halliburton stock and the price was falling rapidly before we invaded Iraq due to his incompetence as CEO of Halliburton.

to the republican power structure appears to be a shift to renewable energy. Most of their monetary support flows from the control of how and where the world's energy is produced.

gets. This is why the Koch brothers.....ass deep in oil.....are doing EVERYTHING they can to buy the US congress & senate, and why they're taking each and every state that has oil/gas in the ground, one at a time (like North Carolina, Arkansas) and making them red states. That way the legislatures will allow fracking and offshore drilling (NC).

and the only thing I can say is

FUCK. And they did this in OUR NAME. Not for our desire for in-expensive product, but in order to keep oil PRICES HIGH.

This was about avarice, pure and simple.

Just read the article. If this is sourced properly, I expect this to show up on Rachel's show sometime in the next 2 weeks. (Yeah, it's THAT for real).

See, if we all lived in MY version of the World, the White House Press Corps would do NOTHING but hammer the Administration (and Congress) about this and ONLY this until somebody got arrested. This should be mailed to every republican we all know, just to let them see that "No, fuckhead, it was NOT about WMD, it was NOT about "liberation" it was about GREED. Defend it NOW, assholes."

can we arrest Bush and Cheney now?

I hope he doesn't get on any small planes. Hell. They'd blow up a jetliner to get him for this. I hope he doesn't get on ANY airplanes.

This makes me sick by orders of magnitude. Cindy Sheehan comes to mind. The parents of Pat Tillman. ALL the DUer parents and spouses who lost loved ones. Those of us who have family members sent to Iraq, and who came back an entirely different person than the one who went over there.

The neocons and war mongers and oil companies are despicable.

implausible? I don't mean that there wasn't a secret plan for Iraq oil, which I am sure there was, but that the State Department would turn it over to Palast without a fight or legal challenge. I don't put much faith in Palast as a reporter.

5000 Americans were killed to enhance the bottom lines of Haliburton and Big Oil. The $2TT spent on these wars could have have been invested in making our country energy independent from foreign oil...it was a gross sellout by traitors who put their profits before the good of this country.
