Random Anecdote re: Bumperstickers

I forget where I first read a blogger insight that "whatever we think annoys liberals" animates a lot of wingnut philosophy. It reminds me of the first version of that bumper sticker I saw: "Annoy a liberal: get a job, work hard, be successful." Because we liberals all hate being employed, and succeeding, or something.

In the last two days I've come up behind two cars driving ahead of me while I was out running errands. Both had a single bumper sticker on their car. The car I came up on yesterday had this one:





I've seen these before, but they usually have a little saying that goes with them, such as "Buy a gun" or "Get a Job" or even "Buy an SUV (or 2 or 3)." This was just plain and simple.

The other car I saw today. Its message was a tad different, but it is one that I'm sure you've seen before. Here it is:
