Man kills infant in front of mother

BHOPAL: A six-month-old infant was snatched from her mother and banged against a passing goods train killing her on the spot in Ganjbasoda tehsil of Vidisha district on Friday. Old enmity between two families is said to be the reason behind the incident.

Accused, Ramesh Ahirwar, 32, suspected that Anita Bai, wife of Rajaram Ahirwar, who was with her child and mother-in-law near the railway crossing, was returning from police station after lodging a complaint against him. He inquired from them whether they were coming from the police station.

On failing to get a convincing reply the accused asked Anita to accompany him on his bike which she refused. An angry Ramesh then snatched Anita's child and banged her against a passing good train killing her on the spot.

Police sources said Ramesh and Rajaram Ahirwar, both residents of Kalakhedi village in Vidisha were related to each other. But their relationship turned sour, after Rajaram allegedly raped Ramesh's sister-in-law three months ago. Rajaram is in jail since then.

at least you don't hear too much about this anymore:

The collective hysteria claimed a second life early Tuesday after a pregnant woman sleeping on her terrace was woken by neighbours shouting: "The monkey has come!."

The dire poverty of its citizens is the major reason...please give me a nice cafe where I can sip my espresso in a European world capital city...I will be happy...
