LOL: Google pisses off religious right and Breitbart cult with today's Google Doodle.

This is HILARIOUS.

"This is not the first time that Google has chosen to honor leftists over tradition. Back on July 4, Google plastered the words “This Land Was Made For You And Me” in its logo, in honor of Communist fellow-traveler Woody Guthrie’s This Land Is Your Land. On Christmas, Google featured a holiday-themed logo that popped up this window: “Happy Holidays from Google!”"

I won't link to that shitfest, but, thanks to Google for honoring a civil rights leader and labor supporter! Oh, and pissing them off. Well done!

Our Google which art in cyberspace,
Hallowed be thy domain.
Thy search to come,
Thy results be done,
On my computer as it is in the WWW.
Give us this search our daily results.
Forgive us our spam, as those that have
spammed up against us.
And lead us not into infected sites,
But deliver us from Trojans.
For thine search engine is the greatest,
and the power,
and the glory,
For search after search.
Amen

A FB friend got all verklempt the other day after reading about an egg hunt event that was sponsored by a community in the state of Washington that was renamed to take "easter" out of it.

An actual quote from the discussion:

"It started a Long Time Ago... this is now getting to be an "IN YOUR FACE" Christians... I'm hoping that the 'real' war is beginning to reveal itself... This is a bottom line Muslim/Christianity/Secular War! Keep watching oh Ya... just wanted to leave us with a P.S. thought... could it be that the Muslim will USE the Secular spirit joined together to war against Christianity?"

:/

It started long ago, growing up on Long Island in the 60's and 70's with all those Jewish kids I went to school with. Man, it was SO HARD having to sing side by side with them about dreidels and Hanukkah while they sang about Christmas trees and holly. I mean, the humanity. It really damaged us. Both sides. We learned to hate each other with a passion. So much so that when we were invited to each others' Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and Confirmation parties, we went, just to spite each other.

Then, later on in life, when I provided Early Intervention services to Muslim families in New York, I would almost refuse the delicious food the moms would cook - who knew what poison they were trying to give me? So what if it was wonderful and the children were adorable? I mean, they covered her heads when the UPS man would come to the door. Evil, I tell you!

If I can't have EASTER eggs CHRISTMAS trees and JESUS plastered all over town, and if someone wishes me HAPPY HOLIDAYS instead of MERRY CHRISTMAS, I'm going to have a break down, stop believing in Jesus, and go to hell.

Repressed? You're damn right I am!!!!!!!

ALLOW the depiction of rabbits and hunting of eggs at Easter. They are PAGAN symbols and have nothing whatsoever to do with Christian doctrine. You'd think they would be screaming about how Easter egg hunts and chocolate bunnies are a sign of the breakdown of society and our "christian culture", lol.

Christ dies on one of 35 days every year.
I would say it is up to the Christians to be a little more specific in their choice of holiday.

(emphasis added)

Google Team,

I find that your Doodle of Chavez, a known corrupt {sic} and human rights violator, to be inappropriate and right down {sic} disrespectful. I have served this country as a member, commissioned officer, and civilian within the Department of Defense and State - upholding the traditions and values of this nation (United States) so companies and individuals, like your self, can prosper and live life to the fullest. Depicting a self-appointed {sic} regime leader that {sic} has committed so many violation {sic} towards the common person {sic} in Venezuela it’s not even funny. {grammar} Nor is this depiction of a person that would seen {sic} Google seized by his state, had you decided to upstart {sic} your search engine. I don’t know if you are reading this or will read it as seriously as you should. By placing this up there and not any reference to Easter - or just leaving it blank sends a big slap in the face against all US Military members and those civilians that {sic} report to work and duty all over the world to ensure that you have the right to place something like Chavez on your search engine Doodle. I would like to be the first to say, “Thank You for the disrespect and immaturity on your part.” I understand that you heads of Google are anti-Christian and very progressive. That’s fine. You guys have that right - but it’s a right that was gained by men like me that left the comforts of home to place our lives on the line to maintain the way of life that this nation has enjoyed since the 1780’s. People like Chaves {sic} do not need to be celebrated, due to the historical fact he did nothing but run his country in {sic} the ground. If you so hate the US and the Christian value system that made this country the way it is - then please - go to Cuba, Venezuela, or Iran and take your ideas and company with them and enjoy all the perks of the fascist regimes that they offer like minded individuals like yourself.

Good Day and Happy Easter - for a single man laid down his life - for all of us. The least you can do is not have put anything up to counter that.
