Arkansas Nuclear One shut down. One killed

Entergy's nuke plant in Russelville, Ar has shut down both reactors following what they are calling a "major industrial accident". A generator stator fell while being moved. One worker was killed, three injured. Reactors are said to be in a stable shutdown condition and there is no danger. Area residents reported hearing very loud bangs or explosions. No other details yet.

I was on the freeway passing the oil spill in Mayflower that happened Friday when tweets from local reporters started mentioning the explosion reports. I drove past the reactor and noted there was no steam coming from the cooling towers. I found out the rest via statement from Entergy on Twitter. Im on my phone and dont have computer access at the moment. Ill get more info as i can find it.

That plant produces one third of the state's power normally. It's tragic that someone was killed given the rigorous safety requirements in place today.
