a personal loss I am in the middle of because a family member is sick, I am doubly reminded of how delicate health can be, especially as you age. We need our heroes to be healthy. List the name of one of your ageing hero right here and wish them good health.
I hope that Michael Moore keeps on walking every day.

first comment says it well: "Bernie Sanders is my American hero. He understands and can be trusted to have the backs of the American people."
Oh and thanks to Ed, Too!

(205,552 posts)And he received my first vote. If you've never seen "Man From Plains," it's a great documentary, followed him on his book tour for "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," which was misunderstood by those who never read it. His attitude is amazing. He'll talk to anyone, friend or foe, and he has remarkable energy, stamina and courage.

(205,552 posts)I've always admired him, but watching that even impressed me! I always felt that history would be very kind to him, am grateful to finally seeing it happen. His Peace Prize was decades too long in coming (1978 Camp David Accords) and "Argo" casts a new light on the Iranian hostage crisis.

(2,770 posts)My first thought was Clinton - but then I remembered the OP saying "aging" - so I discounted Bill as a choice, because I still don't think of him as "aging".
In fact, of course, he is. But he's one of those men who seems to defy his age, rather than define it.

Yes, I think "unchanged" is the word - unchanged in all of the important ways, despite the passage of time in our lives, or in his.
A truly remarkable man.

Both Bill AND Hillary Clinton.
And yes - Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

(1,941 posts)He's the bigger worry. I don't know how well the walking's going but he's at the weight where you ask "how many old people do you see as big as you?" I was about as bad myself. It's not a good place to be.
Everyone dies but it's better to die old than young.
