Agenda 21

Our town board is currently having to deal with a group that thinks the UN is going to take their land and homes and force them to move to a city. Really. Between this group and the 2nd Amendment folks it is getting hard to get anything done that they are supposed to get done. Is this happening around you too? I live in upstate NY.

There are also many Remote Control hobbyist who attach cameras to small planes and helicopters. Actually the technology is cheap readily available and fun. Anyway most hobbyist do not fly in town who is going to enforce it the drone police?

9-9.2 – Definitions.
“Drone” means a powered, aerial vehicle that:
a. does not carry a human;
b. uses aerodynamic forces to provide vehicle lift;
c. can fly autonomously or be piloted remotely;
d. can be expendable or recoverable.
9-9.3 – Prohibition. No person, entity, governmental unit or law enforcement agency may operate a Drone within the air space of the City.
9-9.4 – Exceptions. This Section does not prohibit the use or operation of a Drone in the City’s airspace if:
a. a law enforcement agency first obtains a warrant authorizing its use; or
b. a law enforcement agency determines, under particular circumstances, that there is immediate danger of death or serious injury to any person; or
c. it is operated only within the boundaries of an individual’s real property, and has no surveillance capabilities.
http://sunpatriot.com/2013/03/29/st-bonifacius-ordinance-no-115/

The problem that I see is that they may have no authority over airspace. Also, how can they limit a drone w/camera on a person's own property?

I would be kind of freaked out to have drones flying over my town. But I think small towns have bigger fish to fry. Too many small town boards like to get people riled up about non issues and thus have less time to address more pressing concerns. Local communities around us passed English only laws and were made to look right fools for doing it but they upset people and waste time on this nonsense.

2. work on finding candidates to run against the incumbent town board members?

Although I know that in NY, some of the senior positions of local governments are not elected.

Find people who will run against the good old boys and work hard to get them elected. And look for people with connections in the community.

I was home during a local election in my hometown (I probably still could have voted because I am still on the rolls there despite not voting in NY since 2006) and my mom made the comment about how a soccer mom came of nowhere and beat the incumbent. I explained to her that the soccer mom probably used her connections and got all of the other moms to vote for her.

When our supervisor ran it was with 2 wonderful candidates for trustee, they lost to the incumbents, a popular football coach and a popular teacher. Who pretty much work against her every time.

Or sustainable development. We have a wonderful local organization which preserves farmland. Apparently they are part of a communist plot. I am weary of these paranoid, angry people.

wildlife and leveling all the trees on their land. That particular area had a herds of deer and elk that had been their since the tribes owned the area, and many years before that.

Then the call from talk radio set the fires in their minds about zoning and Agenda 21. Just went out and shot them all, likely no butchering to eat, as there were plenty of supermarkets. The weekends were full of the sounds of gunfire as they mowed them down.

They came into town, into every little store, to yell and holler about it to anyone there, stranger or not. A true hatred for all urban people, who were not the cause of their fears but...

They shut down the transit system there, public parks, and community meeting places but churches. Folks active in the local congregations who had lived there for years, watching the population grow more corporate, bigoted and hateful to any form of regulation. The pulpits talked more about that than Christianity.

These characters were making a point at any commerical place, loudly exclaiming Democrats would come and interfere with them over their dead bodies. It got hateful and crime ridden, but it didn't matter. Because the landed people had theirs, their kids would have theirs, and the rest could be their servants or else.

And always CT in the background, even before the Y2K scare that had them arming up and provisioning themselves for the hordes of shiftless city people they expected to arrive any moment, who they said they would shoot. Nevermind the mental disconnect of the fact that most of them worked in town with those they called the enemy.

into thinking that they are coming to get them. We really have to do something with our TV/Radio/print media and make them honest. My only hope is that when Al Jazeera launches their Al Jazeera America cable channel, that they will be able to get some truth and honest reporting out and make the rest of them look like the propaganda outlets that they are.

I applied to do Grand Jury duty in my county. I found out that the Grand Jury monitors our County Board of Supervisors so I'm going into the belly of the beast. I hope I can do some good in changing a few things here for the better. I don't know if I will be accepted but I do have my first interview next week.

12. Democrats against agenda 21- Rosa Koire is a Gay Democrat- not angry or kookie
Sat Apr 6, 2013, 03:03 PM
Apr 2013

it's about sovereignty more than anything else to the Rosa's of the world

http://www.democratsagainstunagenda21.com/

UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is the action plan implemented worldwide to inventory and control all land, all water, all minerals, all plants, all animals, all construction, all means of production, all energy, all education, all information, and all human beings in the world. INVENTORY AND CONTROL.

Have you wondered where these terms 'sustainability' and 'smart growth' and 'high density urban mixed use development' came from? Doesn't it seem like about 10 years ago you'd never heard of them and now everything seems to include these concepts? Is that just a coincidence? That every town and county and state and nation in the world would be changing their land use/planning codes and government policies to align themselves with...what?

First, before I get going, I want to say that yes, I know it's a small world and it takes a village and we're all one planet etc. I also know that we have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, and that as cumbersome as that can be sometimes (Donald Rumsfeld said that the Chinese have it easy; they don't have to ask their people if they agree. And Bush Junior said that it would be great to have a dictator as long as he was the dictator), we have a three branch government and the Bill of Rights, Constitution, and self-determination. This is one of the reasons why people want to come to the US, right? We don't have Tiananmen Square here, generally speaking (yes, I remember Kent State--not the same, and yes, an outrage.) So I'm not against making certain issues a priority, such as mindful energy use, alternative energy sponsorship, recycling/reuse, and sensitivity to all living creatures.

But then you have UN Agenda 21. What is it? See our videos and radio shows at the bottom of this page, on our video page (or search YouTube for Rosa Koire) or

14. But, after you've read Ms. Koire's page, check in with Thom Hartmann
Sat Apr 6, 2013, 03:32 PM
Apr 2013

He has an article over at Truthout: Agenda 21: The Latest Sleight of Hand Trick by Corporate Elite. Read both and make up your mind.

Honestly, Koire sees everything from bicycling lanes to 'smart growth' and multi-use zoning as UN plots. Those multi-use zones with apartments and businesses in the same building? We used to call that "living above the store." That's the way my parents lived in the small town I grew up in. It's the way some districts in KC are zoned.

Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntary plan for sustainable development. Basically, it's toothless. In the face of opposition from groups, mostly funded by corporate interests, it's unlikely that many of its suggestions will be implemented.

Do a quick Google and you'll be information on the UN's Agenda 21, and you'll get a lot of links to wingnut, paranoid sites about The Real Agenda 21. Strike up the creepy organ music, maestro.

Of course, the wingnuttiest of the wingnuts is Glenn Beck. Crazy Fucking Glenn has a page on his website and a best-selling dystopian novel. His followers are eating this stuff up like popcorn.

One of those followers is my cousin. She's got Beckerhead's book set up on a reading stand like a devotional. Every time I visit I get a crazy, paranoid rant --- which is why I rarely visit. This time, she managed to get "Acorn" into the rant somewhere (I had started to tune her out by that time!).

This sort of paranoia is part of what feed the rightwing violence we're seeing, largely in rural areas, and it's not just in red states. Writer CJ (Carolyn) Cherryh posted on her Facebook page that she lives near two, count 'em two, armed camps of crazies where she's living in Oregon.
